In 2024, the Center for Reforms and Development launched three transformative entrepreneurship programs aimed at driving comprehensive reform for young entrepreneurs in rural Nimba County, Liberia. Below are the details of these initiatives.

Socialpreneur Hitchibator

Socialpreneurship Hatchibator Program facilitate the growth of innovative social enterprises led by women and youth, contributing to economic growth and job creation. CRD is committed to fostering innovative social enterprises led by women and youth through the socialpreneurship Hatchibator Program. This Initiative provides a conducive environment for entrepreneurs to incubate and refine their business ideas. Financial assistance, mentorship, and capacity-building workshops are offered to empower entrepreneurs in developing sustainable and socially impactful business models. The program also emphasizes the creation of collaborative network among social entrepreneurs, facilitating knowledge-sharing, resource pooling, and mutual support.

Entrepreneur’s Forum

The Entrepreneur’s Forum is designed to build a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Liberia through targeted support, networking, and capacity-building initiatives. Central to this strategy is the focus on capacity building and training, where workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs are organized to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. By leveraging the expertise of experienced business leaders and industry experts, the Forum ensures that participants are well-prepared to navigate the challenges of the business environment.

Networking and collaboration form another critical component of the strategy. The Entrepreneur’s Forum facilitates various events, including “speed-dating” sessions, trade shows, and exhibitions, to create opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with investors, mentors, and other business leaders. These interactions not only help entrepreneurs gain valuable insights and advice but also open doors to potential funding opportunities and market access. The Forum actively partners with financial institutions and investors to host pitch sessions and investment competitions, ensuring that entrepreneurs have access to the capital needed to grow their businesses.

Sustainability and continuous improvement underpin the program strategy, with a strong emphasis on promoting sustainable business practices and social responsibility. The Forum collaborates with government agencies and regulatory bodies to streamline processes and reduce barriers, providing entrepreneurs with the support they need to comply with relevant regulations. A robust monitoring and evaluation framework is implemented to track the program’s outcomes and impact, allowing for regular reviews and refinements based on feedback and performance data. By fostering a supportive and dynamic environment, the Entrepreneur’s Forum aims to drive economic growth and development in Liberia, creating lasting positive impacts for businesses and communities.
